After ten years working in corporate fashion design, Sam Klemick discovered a newfound passion sculpting furniture by combining new materials with broken furniture left on the side of the road and deadstock fabrics.
Under the alias of Otherside Objects, Klemick draws inspiration from Maison Martin Margiela’s 1999 Duvet coat, sci-fi action films, and 1980s Miami to create multi-functional and sustainable furniture and objects.
Klemick uses her designs to reimagine traditional forms and inspire people to be more mindful and intentional with their purchases.
Her debut collection included her signature piece, the Bell Chair (aka the Big Nap chair), which sold within hours of posting it on Instagram.
